The goal for the Kahakai World Championship team is to further the Kahakai mission statement by being dedicated to promoting culture, health and fitness, and water safety education, all through the sport of competitive outrigger canoe paddling. Representing Kahakai on the world stage gives our little Long Beach club the opportunity to develop their skills and experience in a way that will inspire others - especially young and upcoming female athletes - to pursue their sport at a competitive level, where they see an opportunity for international-level competitions.
